Event Summary for May

May is set to be a pretty big month in Krae Glas, so we hope you’re all ready for it!

Just a few days into the month, we have our long awaited Giornata dei Campioni (Day of Champions) on the 4th at the Monash Community Inn! The Day of Champions for both Krae Glas & the College of St Monica is set to be an incredible event with tournaments, a feast, music, dancing & various Arts & Sciences entries! The feast is fully sold out & bookings for the full event are closed. However, all is not lost for those keen to witness (or enter!) any of the championships! I have been informed that if you email our Event Steward at ladymaerwynn@gmail.com & ask *very* nicely, she might still be able to fit in some tournament-only bookings!

Only one week later, our Crafthall Classes return to the Dolphin’s Keep (24 Mons Parade, Noble Park)! On the 11th we will have a Calligraphy & Illumination class taught by Brian dorcha ua Conaill. The council meeting will also be held at Crafthall, starting shortly after noon when the doors open & the class will start when the council meeting ends (which should be roughly 1-1:30pm). If calligraphy isn’t for you, bring your current A&S project, try out our (all ages!) axe throwing set or just come along to socialise!

May also brings the return of Combat Archery Training on the 26th from 1-4pm at Noble Park Secondary College! We have archery training activities for all ages & skill levels… as well as a strong likelihood of silliness & laughter!

As always, we also have our regular weekly Thursday Night Gathering and Training at the Dolphin’s Keep on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th. Although Thursday nights are when our Heavy & Rapier fighters meet for training, it’s not *just* a fight night! With Arts & Sciences gatherings, casual socialising & even the occasional cooking lesson, the Keep is open to everyone!

If all that is not enough, Stormhold has declared war on Ynys Fawr & has called for Krae Glas to help back them up in the Hightide Challenge!

For further details on any of these events, please see the Event pages on Facebook, or check our (or Stormhold’s!) website.
