Curious about what November has in store for Krae Glas? Wonder no more!
Every week we meet at from 7pm at the Dolphin’s Keep (24 Mons Parade, Noble Park) for our Thursday Night Gathering & Training (on the 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th)! Both rapier & armoured swordfighting for all experience levels will be found here, as well as non-combatants meeting to chat & work on their Arts & Sciences projects!
The first Thursday gathering of the month (the 5th) is also home to our Fibre Guild! If you enjoy the softer side of crafts, come join us for a chat & show off your spinning, weaving, knitting, nålebinding & so on!
The Dolphin’s Keep also hosts another regular activity, this month with a little something extra! On Saturday the 14th from 2pm, is our Crafthall (Destash market + Garb Planning) + Potluck! Instead of a class this month, we will be focusing on Garb planning! If your wardrobe needs an update (or you’re just starting out), you won’t want to miss this session! Bring your ideas & the supplies you have (or a list of them) & get help turning it into a wardrobe!
But wait, there’s more! Low on supplies? Too many supplies you don’t want any more? Never fear, the Destash Market is here!
Sewing machines, fabric, quilting supplies & more will all be available at Crafthall for very reasonable prices! No need to reserve a space, we have plenty of tables! Just bring what you want to destash (or some cash to shop with… or both!) & have fun!
After all that planning & shopping & crafting (& perhaps getting in some fighter training outside), we’re sure to be hungry… just in time for our community potluck dinner! All contributions to the meal are appreciated, though medieval & medieval-inspired foods are especially beloved!
Not everything is at the Keep, however! Our November Archery & War Training at Noble Park Secondary College will be held a week earlier than normal on Sunday the 8th, from 1-4pm. Hanbal Bahadur al Barbari (Sir Hanbal) had so much fun last month, that he will be returning in November for more War coaching! Our War training is great fun for archers & heavy fighters alike, so if you’re wanting to improve your skills on the warfield or even looking to join the fray for the first time, this is the place to be!
Our all-ages target-based activities will be happening at the same time as well & as always, we will have plenty of bows, arrows & some armour (BYO groin protection) available for loan. All experience levels welcome!
The monthly Council meeting will be hosted via Zoom on Tuesday the 17th. Zoom details will be released closer to the date.
All of this month’s activities are newcomer-friendly & require no bookings, special clothing or gear to attend. For more information on any of our activities, please see our website or the relevant Facebook event pages.
