The Barony of Krae Glas turns 15 this August! Our birthday party will be happening a few weeks after the actual day, but it’ll be worth the wait!
Fibre Guild returns to the first of our Thursday Night Gathering & Training sessions this month & the Guild has an exciting announcement! We have received a very generous donation of a spinning wheel! This means that folks who would like to learn how to spin on a wheel can do so without having to invest in one of their own! If you would like to try spinning on the wheel, please let us know in advance, as you may need to bring your own fibre to spin.
Fibre Guild is open to all fans of fluff (spinners, weavers, knitters, nålebinders, etc) & will be happening from 7pm on Thursday the 6th at the Dolphins Keep (24 Mons Parade, Noble Park) in the meeting room at the back of the hall! Bring along your current project & spend time with folks who care as much about the niche details of it as you do! Heavy & Rapier training will be happening in the main part of the hall at the same time, but our Guild room is surprisingly sound-resistant.
Every other week our Thursdays (the 13th, 20th & 27th) will continue as usual (same details as above) with both Heavy & Rapier training happening alongside casual socialising/A&S.
This month at Crafthall (Baronial cushions) + Potluck, we will be focusing on the Baronial cushions! From 2pm on Saturday the 8th (also at the Dolphin’s Keep), we will have various cross-stitch kits to work on that will ultimately be sewn up into beautiful new cushions for our thrones! Don’t know how to cross stitch? We can teach you! Not interested in embroidery? Bring along whatever project you’re working on & just come for a chat!
There will, as always, be a community Potluck for dinner afterwards (around 5-6pm or when dinner is ready), so dinner contributions are encouraged.
Our monthly Council meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday the 11th. Zoom details will be released closer to the date.
On Sunday the 15th, we will be hosting our August Archery Training at Noble Park Secondary College from 1-4pm! We will have plenty of targets to shoot at & some may be moving, so we will only be using combat-blunt arrows this month. Don’t have a bow or combat arrows of your own? Never fear, we have plenty of bows, arrows & so on available to borrow at no extra cost! Want to volunteer as a target or try out some war practice? We have armour to loan out too (BYO groin guard)!
Stormhold is hosting their Baronial Changeover from Friday the 28th to Sunday the 30th with a weekend of tournaments & war out in Riddells Creek! Bookings close on the 22nd.
