The College is inviting students, members, the Baronies and all friends down for an afternoon of fighting, games, crafts, dances and fun. We are excited to learn from and with you.
Clothing: this is a garbed (attempt at pre-1600 clothing required) event. The College will have its loaner garb out for all newcomers and the otherwise garbless but we don’t have any for children. Please send a message or comment before the event if you need help locating some garb beyond this.
Food: Please bring your own picnic-type snacks. The College will also be running a barbeque but that’s not intended to be someone’s entire lunch and dinner for the day! We welcome donations towards getting Collegians to Rowany Festival.
Timetable:
12 midday: site opens for setup
1:30pm: Opening court (official beginning of event)
2:00pm: Rapier tournament
3:00pm-ish: Dancing
3:30pm: Heavy armoured tournament
Arts and sciences, crafts, socialising etc. throughout. Closing court will occur when Their Excellencies are ready for it and the tournaments are all done.
Tournaments: note all rapier combatants must have stat decs. The heavy tournament is a training tourney but combatants must have experience fighting in armour under SCA rules before.
